Dr Marcelo Gimenes
Pianist, composer and experimental electronic musician Marcelo Gimenes’ career includes a comprehensive array of activities in different settings and styles, from classical to contemporary and jazz music. He is particularly interested in exploring music as an interactive medium through which people communicate and interconnect. Marcelo holds a PhD in computer music from Plymouth University where he currently develops computer systems and mobile device apps that incorporate unique intelligent music generative tools. His research interests include music cognition, evolution and machine musicianship.

Dr Rodrigo Schramm
Rodrigo Schramm is a faculty member at the Institute of Arts, Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS), Brazil. Since 2013, he is a visiting fellow at the ICCMR (Interdisciplinary Centre for Computer Music Research), at Plymouth University, UK. Rodrigo received his PhD in Computer Science from the UFRGS (Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul) and his current research activities are focused on the development of techniques to audio/video analysis and pattern classification applied to computer music and computer vision.
